Derick has spent 26 years in the restoration and general- contracting industry, with substantial experience writing scope and estimates for residential and commercial property losses. He held general-contractor licenses in Mississippi and Florida earlier in his career, and today holds IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician certification, ICC certification, the Missouri DHSS Lead Renovator (RRP) license, and Xactimate Level 2. He's the only person who writes Wiley Services estimates — built in Xactimate, the same system most carriers use for internal estimating. He has 22 years operating Xactimate, with working knowledge of other estimating software.
